Today we celebrate five of our exceptional educators for Black History Month; dressed up to represent the theme of freedom through style found in the book, "Black Ivy: A Revolt in Style."

Last Friday, RPS hosted its third annual Special Olympics Unified Bowling event. This event was created to strengthen the relationships between RPS students with and without special needs. Our students had a great time bowling and playing arcade games!

Culture Week is coming the week of March 4 at JM. The Culture Celebration is on Friday, March 8th at the end of the day. Students, if you are planning on dressing up or wearing the colors of your culture flag please fill out the form. We are also still looking for performers and families/students to bring in food. Through First Student and Kids on the GO, RPS has around 160 active bus drivers and 136 a.m. & p.m. routes, as well as 63 van drivers who are dedicated to providing service to the District. We would like to honor the service of John Marshall Alumni of 2001, Adam Finseth. Adam served as a firefighter/paramedic and was tragically killed in the line of duty in Burnsville, MN yesterday morning.

JM competed at Farmington yesterday and it was truly a testament to how hard these amazing students are working! But also…our novices have been on fire all season! I’m in awe of everything they’ve accomplished thus far. JM took 1st in team sweeps and had multiple placements! Go, Fight, Speak!!!! 🚀❤️
