Inclement Weather Day Policy

School closings are at the discretion of the Rochester Public School District Administration and/or the Governor.

If all District buildings are closed care will NOT be available.

School Closed SACC open:

  • SACC will operate from 8:30 AM-4:00 PM at Northrop Education Center (201 8th St. NW) for children registered with a School Year Contract.

  • Children will need: athletic shoes, outdoor apparel, and a lunch/beverage.  

Early Dismissal:

  • There will be no PM (After school) SACC.

  • Parents/Guardians or Emergency Contacts must pick up their children upon school dismissal.

Late Start:

  • There will be no AM (Before school) SACC.

Longfellow:  15-day break

  • Late start means SACC will begin at 11:30 AM (2-hr delay)

  • If closing early, SACC will close when RPS closes, and parents should pick up their children as soon as possible.

Announcements regarding school closing will be available as follows:

  • Local Radio and Television Stations

  • Messages from RPS

  • KTTC’s Weather App

  • RPS Web Site or Facebook Page

Billing:

Scheduled care on an IWD will be removed from your SACC schedule and you will not be billed for it. If you choose to attend SACC at Northrop on an IWD, you will be billed per child.
