Support the Fair

On February 14, 2019, the Rochester Regional Science and Engineering Fair (RRSEF) will showcase Rochester’s “Forces of Nature” at the Rochester Community and Technical College. Last year’s Fair had 231 students from all eight public middle and high schools, as well as private, charter, and home schools, participate in paper and project presentations. Of those students, 25 attended the Minnesota State Science and Engineering Fair, many bringing home state awards. Also, two high school students competed in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, and one middle school student was named in the top 300 projects for the national Broadcom MASTERS competition.

Will you help to make sure that students who attend this year’s RRSEF find a supportive community willing to reward theirhard work through donations for operational support, state and international competition sponsorships, and regional competition awards?

  • General Science Fair Funds make the RRSEF happen by providing BACKING for students who travel to the Minnesota Science Fair and to the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, as well as offering OPERATIONAL SUPPORT for materials, supplies, and local student transportation for the regional fair.

  • Student Award Funds celebrate student success by supporting STUDENT AWARDS, MEDALS, AND TROPHIES for individuals at our regional competition. GATEway, Rochester’s chapter of the Minnesota Council for Gifted and Talented, partners with us to accept donations for student awards and prizes so public spending restrictions do not limit participant awards.

To help support the fair, download the donor forms from the links above and return them to the Community Education Office, Attn: RRSEF, 201 8th St NW, Rochester, MN 55901 by January 11, 2019

If you opt to make donations to both the General and Award Funds, please note that two checks must be written out (General Funds made payable to the Rochester Regional Science and Engineering Fair and Regional Student Award Funds to the MCGT Rochester -Regional Science Fair).
