Community Education

To: MIDDLE SCHOOL PARTICIPANTS
1. Projects must be set up between 3-5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Project set-up will be located in the Regional Sports Center. The doors to the projects will be locked at 6 p.m. and no one will be able to enter until 6:50 p.m.

2. All students inside exhibit hall during judging will need to wear a Lanyard and Name tag. All adults must have an official regional science fair badge to enter the exhibit hall.

3. Students need to be at the Regional Sports Center by 6:50 p.m. Judging will take place in two sessions: 7-9 p.m. on Thursday evening and 1-3:30 p.m. on Friday. Only participants, judges and science fair officials will be permitted in the hall during judging. The student will be disqualified if any parent is present in exhibit hall during judging.

4. Students may not leave Center before the judging time ends without written permission from the parent or parent being present to pick up the student.

5. Transportation to RCTC from public MIDDLE SCHOOLS will be provided on Friday. Students should eat lunch before leaving middle school. All students will leave their middle school at 12:30 pm. Students need to make their own arrangements to be picked up at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

6. On Friday, Februrary 13th you must remove your project by 4:00 p.m. NO PROJECTS will be stored unless prior permission is approved, any project remaining after 4:00 pm will be discarded.

8. A ribbon will be placed on your project by Fridays session. Special awards will be presented at the awards ceremony at 9 a.m. at the Century High School Auditorium on Saturday, February 14th. Approximately 45 projects and 3 ISEF winners will be selected to attend the state science fair.

9. A short meeting will be held after the awards ceremony on Saturday for all students attending the State Science Fair. A MANDATORY MEETING for all State Science Fair winners & at least one parent will be held Tuesday, February 17st at 6:00 pm at Century High School, North Cafeteria. Students must be registered for State Science fair by February 20th.
