Science Fair Resources
Sometimes it can be difficult to come up with project ideas so we've put together some links with ideas to get you started. While many of the sites below offer complete project ideas we would encourage you to modify/extend the ideas provided to make them your own rather than take them direct from the website. Remember, 20% of your judging score is based on Creative Ability which includes originality, and innovations by the student as criteria. If you base your project on an idea you found online don't forget to include the website in your bibliography.

When choosing a project it is also important to keep in mind that projects for the Rochester Regional Science Fair (and other ISEF affiliated fairs) should be experimental or engineering in nature. ISEF rules state that "projects that are demonstrations, 'library' research or informational projects, 'explanation' models or kit building are not appropriate for the Intel ISEF." If you are unsure whether your project is appropriate for the fair talk with your science teacher.
