Scientific Review Committee

Register for a half-hour time slot to meet with the Scientific Review Committee if your project requires a review. Note that some projects require in-depth review, which may mean your review may run later than the timeframe for which you have signed up.

The Scientific Review Committee (SRC) examines projects for the following: a) evidence of proper supervision; b) compliance with rules and laws governing human and/or animal research and research involving potentially hazardous biological agents and hazardous chemicals, activities, or devices; c) use of accepted and appropriate research techniques; d) evidence that risks have been properly assessed; e) evidence of search for alternatives to animal use; f) humane treatment of animals; g) documentation of substantial expansion for continuation projects; and h) evidence of literature search and appropriate attribution.
