How can I begin?

Students need to bring a copy of school transcript(s) for any courses completed outside the Rochester School District and transcripts for any GED tests taken previously. Transcript can also be faxed to 507-328-4441, Attention Adult Literacy Coordinator.

What books do I need?
Depending on the areas of study required to complete your MN Adult Diploma, the diploma teacher you meet with will tell you what books you may need. Books are available for use at school at no charge, though books used outside of school may require a deposit.

What if I need help with assignments?
Teachers are available to help with assignments during the open diploma hours.

Where do I turn in my assignments?
Assignments can be turned in at the diploma room (217) or directly to your teacher. Include your name and class assignment on all work turned in. Any assignment revisions that need to be done will be placed in the students folder. It is the student's responsibility to inquire about assignments completed, test scores, etc. If you are turning in a revised assignment please include the original with it.

What happens to my assignments?
The assignments that you complete will be uploaded to your MN State Adult Diploma portfolio on the LearnerWeb platform. Along with your assignments, your Transcripts, Certificates and Course completion certificates will also be uploaded.  Your final portfolio will be submitted to the MN State for approval.

How long will it take me to get my diploma?
A specific date of completion cannot be given by a teacher. Completion is dependent on the student's pace of study and the number of areas in which study is required.
Final approval of completion is determined by the State of Minnesota.
