Advanced English Conversation and Pronunciation
This course is designed for adult non-native speakers with advanced English skills. Vocabulary building and finer points of spoken grammar, idioms, etc., are stressed. It is also designed to help learners improve all areas of their pronunciation: vowel and consonant sounds, rhythm, stress, intonation and enunciation. Students learn how to monitor their speech and develop better pronunciation habits. Listening comprehension also improves as students learn the "secrets" of American English pronunciation The curriculum is practical and tailored to a student's individual needs. The course is taught informally and involves conversation in pairs and small groups. All new students need to call (507) 328-4440 to make a placement test appointment.
